The City of Frisco
and the Collin County Songwriters Association team up once again to
present Rockin' the Park IV in the Main Pavilion at Warren Park on April
18, 2009, from 4:00 - 9:30 PM. The concert is free, but attendees are
requested to bring a canned food item for the benefit of the Frisco
Family Services Center. The center supports many local families and
is constantly working to keep its food pantry stocked.
The concert showcases
some of the best North Texas performing songwriters and musicians in
a family friendly environment. You are encouraged to bring food and
drink (no alcohol), a blanket, and a mellow vibe. Enjoy a wide variety
of musical styles as the sun sets and the stars come out.
Parallel events
are being planned to include music seminars, workshops and smaller house
concerts during the weekend of the concert. These events will be hosted
by Anderson Guitar Gallery,
and sound reinforcement will be provided by SubZero
Sound.
